Ingersoll Rand Import&Export Supervisor in Shanghai, China


Position Summary:

Be responsible for daily operation of import and export, supervise customs broker and freight forwarder to complete customs declaration and other related import and export work efficiently and accurately according to national laws and company policies; Obtain and understand the latest customs policies at all levels, provide training and consultation to internal customers, and audit and optimize internal processes accordingly. Continuously improve and shorten the clearance cycle, reduce logistics costs. Focus on employee development and build a professional team for import and export.


Job Responsibilities:

1. Daily Operation 进出口日常操作

--Control import and export clearance cycle, reduce import and export logistics costs;


Effectively coordinate the resources of all parties, such as freight forwarder, customs broker and the company's trade compliance department, etc., to ensure that the entire process of import is in line with the requirements of the company and regulations, and the goods can be timely cleared and stored;


Coordinate all links in the international section of freight, maintain good cooperation with the international freight forwarder, ensure the timely arrival of goods, deal with emergencies in a timely manner, and maintain the transparency and openness of information with relevant departments;


--Be responsible for the operation of general trade export goods, control the export cycle of export goods, and assist customers to solve related customs declaration and emergency issues;


--Audit import and export related expenses to ensure reasonable and timely payment.


2. Supplier Management 供应商管理


Responsible for the performance management of the third party supplier (international freight forwarder, customs broker), monthly assessment (KPI), and supervise the implementation of improvement plan.

3. Consultation and training 咨询和培训

--Regularly summarize the latest national and customs policies, carry out and implement corresponding policy process training.


--Work with professional HTS classification companies to manage and ensure that the HTS corresponding to the company's products are effective and accurate.


4. Team management and staff development 团队管理及员工发展

Effective team management, support and encourage employees to plan and implement personal development plans according to their own situation and provide necessary help and support in the process


Job Requirements:

--Bachelor Degree in International Trade or Logistics


--More than 5 years working experience in import and export and at least 3 years team management.


--Familiar with related policies of I/E area, experience in team management.


--Good customer service awareness and communication & coordination skills.


--Good English skills in oral and writing.


--Prefer with working experience in broker and international forwarder, or with CLTD certification.
