Responsibilities:

·Usesblueprints, sketches, drawings, and/or job instruction sheets to produce dimensionsand tolerances of finished work-piece and setup requirements.

·Cuttingtools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills,lathes, grinders, machining centers, drill presses, and drill machines.

·Enterscommands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

·Startsand observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerancemachining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.

·Verifiesconformance of finished parts to specifications.

·Reworks parts that don't meet specifications.

·Setsup and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings orprogrammed control data.

·Conferswith supervisor, engineers, and production personnel to resolve machiningproblems.

·Achievesdepartmental productivity levels.

·Followsall ISO procedures and safety rules, including wearing personal safetyequipment and performing hoist inspections.

·Keepssupervisor informed of mechanical/machine malfunctions or any supplies/toolsneeded.

·Routescompleted parts to next machine according to the routing sequence.

·Performsdata entry on the computer to update part locations.

·Updateswork order cover sheets, daily production sheets, and status sheets.

·MaintainsMDI board.

·FollowMRB process..

·PerformsTPM

·Participatesin departmental projects, as needed (ex. Lean initiatives, restructuring thecell layout, continuous improvement).

·Andother assigned duties

Qualifications:

·Highschool diploma or GED

·Apprenticeshipor Journeyman Cert preferred

·1year machining experience preferred

·Maintainsdepartment in a clean and orderly manner.

·Suggestsideas for overall improvements to the area processes

·Abilityto read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, blueprints, gages, memos, and procedure manuals.

·Abilityto effectively share information about job duties in one-on-one and small groupsituations to supervisor, customers, clients, and other employees of theorganization.

·Abilityto add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and100's.

·Abilityto perform these operations using all units of measure.

·Abilityto calculate figures and amounts, such as proportions and percentages.

·Abilityto apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions topractical situations.

·Abilityto understanding and carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

·Abilityto deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
